On contrary to most of other cities in Turkey, in Istanbul there are two completely different systems of dolmus transport. W przeciwieństwie do innych miast, w Stambule istnieją równolegle dwa kompletnie różne systemy dolmuszów. Dolmusze żółte to te właściwe - odjeżdżające dopiero po zapełnieniu się wszystkich miejsc (tylko siedzące!), zdecydowanie szybsze i bardziej komfortowe niż minibusy i autobusy, ale także droższe. Przejazd tym ustrojstwem (AFAIK, bez względu na odległość) kosztuje 1/8 należności, jaką zapłaciłby klient zwykłej taksówki za przejazd na całej trasie.
