MAN Aufbau type tram #301
8 july 1969 - Wurzburg, Germany – Theaterstrasse. A quick shot of an arbeitswagen that crept up behind me. This is actually a quite interesting vehicle, an Aufbau type built for the Bad Kreuznach system. This city operated trams from 1906 to 1953 (no, I never heard of the place, either) and this tram then passed to Wurzburg, who ran it for a while and then converted it to a track cleaning vehicle, as seen here. This is probably the only photo we will ever see of a Bad Kreuznach tram - it was scrapped in 1977.
