30 may 2006 - Riga, Latvia - Tipografijas Iela. The Riga ‘retro tram’ is claimed to date from the first electric lines opened by company TTP Riga in 1901 and wears this number on the dash – however, I believe the correct fleet number is 034 and it may be a little younger. It’s certainly an important survivor (particularly as the only other old Riga tram, the gorgeous RM-56 behind, was destroyed by fire just after this photo was taken). But why the awful dressing up - I suppose tourists like it? It now (2008) wears an even more flamboyant paint scheme.

30 may 2006 - Riga, Latvia – Tapesu iela. This historic Riga four-wheeler is not to everyone’s taste! The kitsch advertising livery, curtains and added windshield rather detract from what is otherwise a nice tram, which is claimed to date from 1901. Thankfully, it has since been repainted in a more restrained blue livery.

3 june 2017 - Ryga, Radio iela. Wagon retro rzekomo z 1901 roku. W weekendy obsługuje on linię RETRO na trasie: Ausekļa iela - Mežaparks. Kursuje co około 1,5 godziny, a koszt przejazdu wynosi 2 euro. Chciałem się przejechać, ale nie zatrzymał się na obowiązującym przystanku i tym samym okazja przeszła mi koło nosa. Trochę słabe.
