If anyone of you thinks that I`m going to run out of Japanese bus operators, they`re getting closer and closer to the mark. Sōtetsu Bus is closely related to the railway with the same name, which currently operates three lines, with the main terminal some 200 metres behind me. The bus operations area is closely related with the railway service area. The most curious thing of all is however the route number - although the kanji+number scheme is nothing new in the Tōkyō agglomeration, what is new is the kanji character being selected not from, for example, the nearest railway station, but... the operating garage! As a side effect there is a plethora of 旭 (asahi) routes without a single railway station in the area using this character (two of these terminate here anyway).

Miałbym pytanie trochę z innej beczki, jak się otwierają drugie drzwi w tych autobusach (są odsuwane, ręcznie/automatycznie) i czy to jest jakiś wymóg? Chyba we wszystkich pojazdach, które dodałeś, wyglądają podobnie.
Są one otwierane przez kierowcę normalnie z kabiny (o tyle, że w pojazdach produkcji japońskiej jest do tego z reguły miniwajcha dwupozycyjna, a nie przycisk). Drzwi te z reguły są pneumatyczne (ew. hydrauliczne) i otwierają się najczęściej do przodu pojazdu (patrząc z zewnątrz, przesuwają się w lewo). Nie jest to w każdym razie wymóg - jest to po prostu najpopularniejszy typ, zresztą w sumie ma też mniej części (szczególnie ruchomych) niż drzwi płatowe otwierane obrotowo wewnątrz lub na zewnątrz, zajmuje też mniej miejsca. Wozy z normalnymi dwupłatowymi drzwiami jak najbardziej są, lecz nie aż tak popularne.
