LiAZ-5256 is relatively not bad bus. But that`s not "russian O405", there were still many shortcomings. For example, small driver`s cab, you sit inside like in a bunker. Salon is huge, bus seating places only 23. In late 5256 (since about 2007-2008 years) the salon does not seem so huge, but seats in it convenient a little. In strong frosts there`s cold inside the bus. But if there is a automatic gearbox Voith on the bus (in Nizhnevartovsk`s 5256 2000-2004 built years costs automatic transmission), bus rides well, sometimes even briskly. The bus is especially good if its engine is KamAZ or Caterpillar. 5256 with YaMZ (rus. ЯМЗ) vibrate strongly.

Usually body repairing after the expiration of the proper service life established by the plant (for LiAZ that`s 12 years, but some LiAZes were repaired in 8-10-year age). Sometimes repairing buses earlier, for example, after accident.
