In the October of 2006, BKV tasked it`s subcontractor, VT-Transman to perform on lines 38A and 138. Latter one bought withdrawn Ikarus 280s and a 284 from Pécs for this business. The buses were in a real bad condition, so they led to a strong fallback on service level. As a result, a rearrangement was taken on the end of the year, BKV took back the lines. The buses of Transman went under a minimal repair and got the standard grey-blue livery of Budapest city buses. They got their new role on tram replacement services 41V and 47-49V.
