12 june 2009 - Gent (BE) – Dampoort. Only one of the platforms of the bus station at Dampoort was wired for trolleybus operation, and here the driver replaces his poles for the last time. The watching girl will never see this again! The guides on the wires here make this a simple operation – much simpler than on plain lines. Note the trolley retrievers to hold the ropes down – we never had these in UK.

I don't know why the driver puts the poles on wires by hand. This vehicle can do this automatically. By the way 15 vehicles have been sold to Bulgaria, three remain in Belgium as "museum trolleybusses" and two were destroyed after various accidents which happened years ago.
