21 october 2009 - Øvre Eiker, Langebru. After four years the era of Irizar on Haukeliekspressen has come to an end. Last weekend the Irizars were replaced with new Volvo 9700H. This also marks the end of a more than 20 year long era of Scania on this route, since the start in the mid-80s. The first Volvos appeared in 2002, and now it is more or less only Volvo left. This pic was taken on my very last trip with one of these buses.

I know that this model is called New Century in marketing, but using such a name on a model is plain stupid. What we know is that this is the third generation of Century, but what happens when the fourth generation comes? Will this then be Old New Century and the new one New New Century? Do you get my point? If I can't say that this is third generation Century, I will just call it Century, as that is less specific.

I don't care if it is stupid or not - it's simply NewCentury. When the fourth generation comes, it will be called different.
