1948 - Калининград, unknown location, 1948. The Russian administration began the operation of a tram network in Kaliningrad on 7 November 1946. Gradually most of the tram network of the former Königsberg was reopened. The rolling stock available during the first 9 years was limited to the rolling stock, which had been found left by the KWS. The vehicles were gradually overhauled, repainted and renumbered. In this photo, motor vehicle no. 94 still has the number and livery of the KWS. The railer has been repainted. From 1955 the rolling stock was gradually replaced with vehicles from the VEB Waggonbau Gotha, and the last Steinfurt vehicles were withdrawn in 1960.
