4 october 2008 - Timisoara, Romania – depot/zajezdnia Dambrovita. The rear boot of the new trolleybuses conceals a large Iveco diesel engine, used to power the vehicle away from the wires. This engine is powerful enough to be used in normal service, so these are true doubuses and not just a trolleybus. At the time of my visit, I saw these buses working on diesel power several times in the city streets.

4 october 2008 - Timisoara, Romania – depot/zajezdnia Dambrovita. A line-up of new Skodas at the trolleybus depot. Many nice old Timisoara trolleybuses are dumped here awaiting scrapping – I’ll post some photos of these tomorrow.
