12 september 1994 - Douglas, Isle of Man – Derby Castle. One of the two original MER trams built in 1893 and still operating today – the oldest in the world still working with their original owner. The ‘Electric Railway’ sign on the hillside above the depot lights up at night and can be seen from all over the town – good publicity and a bit like Hollywood!
