15 september 2018 - Kiev, Ukraine - Shevchenko tram depot: Before Kiev were able to find the money to purchase a new fleet of nice new articulated trams, several small groups of home-built vehicles were produced, using the numberous Tatra T3 cars as a basis for conversion. This particular type, built in the Kiev workshops, is designated Type K3R-N and this one was constructed by placing trams 5555 and 5542 back-to-back with a new, low floor middle section.
