This is something you won’t see every day – a bus from the Stalybridge, Hyde, Mossley and Dukinfield Joint Transport Board – a collection of towns near Manchester who joined together to run trams (and later buses) in an area to the east of the city. They must have used very long vehicles, just to fit the name on the side! This bus is unique for another reason, as it was the only Atkinson double-deck bus ever built.
