| Other Information | Trent Barton is the name of the merged companies of Trent Motor Traction Company and Barton Transport, the name having been used since 2005. Trent Motor Traction Company was set up in 1913, starting it`s operation in Derby. In 1969 the company became part of the National Bus Company. In 1972 it took over Midland General, which was also part of National Bus Company. This included the Notts & Derby company. In 1986 the company was bought out by it`s management and 1989 bought Barton Transport. Trent Barton is part of the Wellglade Group and is their largest operation. Other companies in the Wellglade Group include Notts & Derby, TM Travel, Kinchbus and High Peak Buses. | |||
