| Other Information | Chambers was set up in 1877, known as H.C. Chambers & Son Ltd and based in the village of Bures, close to Sudbury. The company entered bus operation in 1918 operating a service between Sudbury and Colchester, a service they have continued to operate ever since. The company has expanded and they also have a small coach operation. In June 2012 the Chambers bus operation and 27 buses were taken over by the Go-Ahead Group. The fleet has rapidly modernised since the takeover thanks to secondhand buses from London. The company has become more integrated with the Hedingham operation, also taken over by Go-Ahead a few months earlier. They operate from the same depot in Sudbury. | |||
