19 february 2010 - Alexandria, Egypt - Depot Karmouz: Perhaps a not very exciting subject for a photo, but this is actually an interesting survivor - the chassis frame of an old tram from the Alexandria interurban line, now in use as a flat wagon or lorka at the Karmouz depot of the city tramways. This was once a similar car to the historic single deck tram #601 which has been retained for special service at Mustafa Kamel depot on the Ramleh line.

This rail carrier has foot pedals (suggesting some type of engine underneath that cover) and something very strange – a STEERING WHEEL! WTF? Who ever saw a steering wheel on a tram, and what is it for? Maybe someone out there can tell us……..

13 may 2003 - Bytom – zajezdnia Stroszek. The ‘stuffed and mounted’ tower wagon (ex-motor tram of some sort?) that now stands as a monument at the entrance to Stroszek depot was still in original condition when I took this photo in 2003.

6 may 2007 - Wien (AT) – tramway museum, Erdberg. Although this little tank wagon doesn’t look much, it dates right back to 1885, when it was built for one of the original Wien tramway companies, the Neue Wiener Tramwaygesellschaft. Here it is paired with motor car 6133.

14 may 2007 - Innsbruck (AT) - Igls, Bahnhof. The Plasser & Theurer train sets off back towards Innsbruck. There is even a shelter on the trailer, to keep the men dry. There are two matching trailers for the works car, which can pull either or both as required.

5 july 2007 - Gdansk – zajezdnia Nowy Port. This little works truck lives at Nowy Port. The number ‘17’ scratched on the top left corner appears to be the only identification mark. It goes out occasionally behind 105N works car 9005 – see http://www.phototrans.eu/14,25894,0.html - but it doesn’t seem to have its own TWB entry.

7 july 2007 - Warszawa – ZETiT, ul. Obozowa. Another view of that interesting lorka. I think this is the only one here with this type of underframe. It must have been designed to carry a different body – probably a passenger tram – and not the truck body it has now. Compare this underframe with the Warszawa Falkenried #43 and you’ll see what I mean – exactly the same spring arrangements.

7 july 2007 - Warszawa – ZETiT, ul. Obozowa. This low-sided wagon looks fairly unremarkable, but look closely at the underframe – this must surely come from an early electric tram, perhaps a German design of the 1900s. Someone should try to inspect it properly.

13 july 2004 - Frankfurt am Main, Gleislager Riederhöfe. Zajezdnia taboru roboczego i warsztat torowisk VGFu. Tutaj znajduje się także połączenie z koleją i stąd właśnie odjeżdżały ichniejsze N-ki do Timisoary i Resity. Rumuni w odróżnieniu od nas woleli przetransportować swój demobil na szynach… Na zdjęciu lorki do przewozu tłucznia.

7 february 2006 - Będzin ul. Małobądzka (Będzin Stadion)Mimo, iż było zimno i ogółem nieciekawie, obowiązkowo trzeba było wysiąść z ciepłego autobusu aby sfocić ten pług. Lorka ma numer 29 - podczepiona jest do eNki o nr 31.
Pierwsza moja fotka obrobiona w fotosklepie - podziękowania dla kol. Geronimo. Prosiłbym o uwagi co poprawić, na co zwrócić uwagę itp.
