9 july 2010 - Charleroi (BE), stacja Providence. Przystanek położony w najbardziej industrialnej części miasta. Tam w tle widać jadący w drugim kierunku tramwaj. Wybaczcie białe niebo, ale przy półgodzinnej częstotliwości kursowania "metra" ciężko wszystko obfocić przy korzystnych warunkach. W ogóle to najlepiej tu robić zdjęcia z jakiegoś helikoptera, albo przynajmniej powłazić na położone wzdłuż trasy hałdy :)

9 july 2010 - Charleoi (BE), stacja Beaux-Arts czyli Sztuki Piękne. Nie spotkamy tu obrazów Moneta, ale za to ujrzymy skład dwuosiowych wagonów, przypominający dawną świetność elektrotransportu w tym rejonie.

9 july 2010 - Charleroi (BE), odc. Ouest - Villette. Tramwaj jedzie po estakadzie w kierunku głównego dworca kolejowego, po odcinku który stanowi fragment niedokończonego pierścienia otaczającego centrum.

9 july 2010 - Charleroi (BE), stacja Parc. Dwie stacje na ostatnim uruchomionym jak dotąd odcinku (1996) w centrum nadają nieco kolorytu tej mrocznej i dziadowskiej sieci. Na ścianach wymalowano komiks, w którym na pociąg napadają kowboje, po czym nagle pojawia się Lucky Luke i przegania złoczyńców. W metrze miasta Charleroi też by się przydał czasem taki Lucky Luke, np. by ganiać palących na podziemnych stacjach.

9 july 2010 - Charleroi (BE), stacja Waterloo. Centralny węzeł sieci lekkiego metra, czy też jak to woli szybkiego tramwaju z odcinkami podziemnymi. Przypomnijmy: rozpoczęta w latach 60. inwestycja zakładała budowę 8 rozchodzących się promieniście z centrum linii, o łącznej długości 52 km; z 69 stacjami. Dziś czynna jest mniej niż połowa (25 km), a frekwencja osiąga zawrotną liczbę ~9000 pas./dziennie.

8 july 2010 - De Haan Vosseslag (BE), Rijskweg. Choć Kusttram jedzie cały czas wzdłuż morza, to rzadko gdzie można je uchwycić w jednym kadrze wraz z tramwajem. Nawet wchodząc na kładkę nad torami, jak tutaj, widac je w niewielkim stopniu.

8 july 2010 - Ostenda - Raversijde (BE), Zeedijk. Ostenda wraz z przyległościami to największe miasto na trasie nabrzeżnego tramwaju, leżące pośrodku jego trasy. Na odcinku między dworcem Ostenda a uzdrowiskiem Westende latem uruchamiano więc dodatkowe kursy, obsługiwane głównie przez nowsze wagony, na przemian z podstawową linią jeżdżącą po całej trasie - dzięki temu na najbardziej obciążnym odcinku tramwaje kursowały co 5 min. Poza przystankowymi wyświetlaczami nigdzie nie można było jednak znaleźć szczegółowej informacji o tej dodatkowej linii. W rozdawanych tabelkach z rozkładami, czy też na stronie www jedynie lakonicznie wspominano o "wzmocnieniach w okresie letnim". W b. ZSRR brak dokładnych rozkładów na przystankach uzasadnia się częstymi awariami i deficytem personelu; jak wypadnie jakiś kurs to przynajmniej nikt nie będzie miał pretensji. Ale czy w bogatej Flandrii też mają takie problemy? :-)

8 july 2010 - Ostenda (BE), Hendrik Serruyslaan. "Od zawsze" w sezonie letnim na nadmorską trasę przerzucano wagony z innych flamandzkich sieci - Antwerpii i Gandawy. W tym roku na trasie Kusttramu obrodziło większą liczbą niskopodłogowych Hermelijnów - poza sezonem pozostawiane są 1-2 sztuki. Tu widzimy gandawskiego 6335 w obsłudze linii wzmacniającej środkowy odcinek. Kilka wagonów tej serii można było spotkać także na kursach w pełnej relacji - z Knokke do De Panne i z powrotem.

8 july 2010 - Heist (BE), Elizabetlaan. W tle widzimy żurawie największego belgijskiego portu - Zeebruge. Na odcinku kilku kilometrów tramwaje opuszczają uzdrowiskowe klimaty, a w zamian towarzyszą im składy kontenerów, statki czy śluzy.

8 july 2010 - Blankenberge (BE), Kustlaan. Czas na parę fotek z Kusttramu, czyli jednej z najdłuższych linii tramwajowych świata (68 km). Łączy ona kilkanaście miejscowości leżących na flamandzkim wybrzeżu Morza Północnego. W poszczególnych miastach przypomina typowy miejski tramwaj, często z niewydzielonym torowiskiem (aczkolwiek ciut rzadszymi niz zwykle przystankami). Pomiędzy nimi trasa przebiega zwykle jak na tym zdjęciu: środkiem lub bokiem drogi, pośród wydmowej roślinności, ze sporymi odległościami międzyprzystankowymi.

This Standard car is fitted with a pantograph, so it can go anywhere in the city and isn't just restricted to the Tervuren ine. Originally, it would have had a trolley pole. Line 45 has now disappeared.

As this was also a 'car-free' day in Bruxelles city, a two-minute serve was offered on Line 44 throughout the afternoon. STIB must have very strong power supplies - in some parts of TS in Silesia, the tram almost stops when just one other is travelling in the same section!

The Liege district once had three tramway systems and two trolleybus nets - I wish I'd seen them. Now there are some plans to bring trams back in Liege city.

STIB normally runs both pantograph and trolley-equipped cars between here and Terveuren – a bow collector must have been a new experience for them, but it didn’t seem to matter! If one of these ‘foreign’ trams had brought down the overhead wires, the whole show would have to be stopped, I guess.

Stoi tutaj już co najmniej 4 lata i powoli obrasta glonami. Kiedyś kursował na linii 40 Boullion - Betrex, na co wskazuje boczny film. Szkoda, że taki sympatyczny autobus powoli przechodzi do historii.

14 august 2010 - Pont d'Erezée, Belgia. Spalinowy tramwaj turystyczny wyrusza w swoją 8-kilometrową podróż do Forge-à-la-Plez. Na początku XX wieku całą Belgię pokrywała gęsta sieć metrowego tramwaju „Vicinal”. W latach 50. nadeszła era autobusów i cała sieć zaczęła szybko się kurczyć. Tramwaj Aisne jest jedną z niewielu pozostałości dawnego zorganizowanego systemu transportu szynowego. Kilka lat po wstrzymaniu ruchu pasażerskiego, linia była wykorzystywana do przewozu drewna z okolicznych lasów. To uratowało ją przed likwidacją, resztą zajęli się lokalni miłośnicy.

18 september 2010 - Bruxelles/Brussel (BE) – depot/zajezdnia Woluwe. More of the STIB museum trams in Woluwe depot. As several trams were out in special service for the UITP anniversary celebrations, there was room to take pictures of trams which would normally be lined up very close together. #55 is a Bruxelles Standard car, later used as a snowplough, #9098 is a little 2-axle car of 1960 with a PCC-style body and #1505, which was converted to a one-man car in 1967, although the design originally dates back to 1935.

Ezamples run in the city streets every weekend, except in winter - so many old trams live here, they normally fill these eight tracks, four or five cars deep!
