20 march 2011 - Torino (IT) – Piazza Castello. Turin’s trams have been a bit overlooked by TWB authors, which is a shame, given their interesting history. This is a large network of over 200km of standard-gauge tracks and four basic types of tram. This is an example of the oldest type – a small articulated tram made from two 1930s Peter Witt cars joined together and fitted with a new body, thereby disguising its origin.

Personally - I've been to Milano and it's fair enough for me. It's not I didn't enjoy my stay in Italy, I really did, especially cuisine - you don't get such great pizza anywhere else. But if I had to decide whether I would like to stay 2 weeks in Italy or ex-YU countries, I would choose ex-YU

Thanks. This was my first visit here and I must say I was impressed. The local enthusiasts have a very good relationship with GTT and two lines are run with historical trams at normal fares. Good beer, too
