31 july 2007 - Bytom, near bus station. Today, a history of Jelcz buses for English-speaking users of phototrans.eu. In 1998 a full low-floor construction was created in Jelcz. The bus was not a modification of previous model, as it used to be. MAN engine, ZF or Voith gearbox and ZF driven axle were used. The bus had CAN electric system and quite nice exterior design. Its disadvantage was quite narrow interior. This construction was rather unsuccessful, because in 1999 Solaris Urbino 12 appeared, which managed to get majority for the orders. Finally Solaris managed to remove Jelcz from the market, which since early 2000s was struggling against financial problems and in 2008 went bankrupt.

But PKM Katowice bought that 37 buses (probably). It was their the worst decision.
Sądzę, iż polskojęzyczni użytkownicy phototrans.eu również chętnie skorzystaliby z informacji o produktach Jelcza, zatem prosimy o dodanie opisów również w tym języku.
Wydawało mi się że podaję same ogólnie znane i oklepane fakty, ale skoro jest inaczej, to niebawem dam po polsku.
