14 june 2009 - Lille (FR) – Wambrechies. Tramway Touristique de la Vallee de la Deule. The big ELRT interurban passes a row of attractive cottages along the banks of the canal. These trams were displaced by second-hand German cars in the 1980s and can no longer run on the Mongy, where the voltage has been raised from 600v to 750v.

Hang on a moment - so they had other German trams before they bought the ex-Vestische Duewags?

Six Grossraumwagen came in 1980 and 19 GT6 in 1982. I don't think there were others before this.
