29 september 2008 - Bucuresti, Romania – URAC. Yesterday’s photo of stripped-down V2A tram #4014 got me thinking - http://www.phototrans.eu/14,294286,0.html. Of course, it isn’t being scrapped, but is the next donor car for one of these conversions! RATB are taking six-axle, two section V2A cars and rebuilding them with a low-floor centre section and chopper control, so they become Type V3A. Here are two newly converted examples – compare them with an unmodified V3A and you’ll see that the transformation is amazing.

They're lucky enough to have trams that actually CAN be converted to something useful - the only thing you can do with a 105N-generation tram is give it a pretty new front
