The ex-Bremen Wegmann cars nearly always run in motor-trailer pairs here – these two are both in the standard Timisoara livery (which is unusual for Romania – they don’t normally bother with repaints). True to form, they still keep their original German fleet numbers, though.....

2 october 2008 - Timisoara (RO) – Bulevardul General Dragalina. One of the many second-hand trams in the Timisoara fleet sweeps into Gara de Nord with a Line 1 service. A large batch of these Wegmann trams came here from Bremen in Germany, along with nearly one hundred similar Hansa cars from the same source. Unusually, the second tram in this set is a genuine trailer car – Timisoara has lots of these from the same source as the motor cars.

3 april 2011 - Timisoara (RO) – depoul/zajezdnia Dambovita. One of the many ex-Bremen Wegmann trams that now provide much of the service in Timisoara. Like most second-hand Romanian trams, the new owners have done as little as possible to prepare it for its new life – this one got a quick repaint into Timisoara livery (not every tram gets this) but still shows its German destination!

3 april 2011 - Timisoara (RO) – Dambovita. Some changes are taking place on the Timisoara tramway. Having completely replaced their trolleybus fleet, thoughts are turning to the trams, where various old German cars continue to provide the service, but are beginning to look increasingly scruffy. Here is #3553, one of many second-hand Wegmann cars bought from Bremen. The track on which it is standing is the start of the long line to the Abatoir district, completely dug up beyond this point for what’s described as maintenance (although there doesn’t seem to be any urgency to replace it). One of the two tram depots has also been closed.

4 november 2004 - Bremen, Hauptbahnhof. I finally caught the "Space Bahn" in whole. On this day it was running as an extra 2/10 service, which runs like this: Groepelingen - Hauptbahnhof - Am Dobben - Sielwall - Domsheide - Am Brill - Gröpelingen, with a 20-minute frequency. Thanks to that Walle and Gröpelingen have a service frequency of 5/10 minutes. Two years ago there were no extra cars in the timetable, and everything ran every 7.5 minutes. Well - you can't complain that much...
